More about Coastliner

From our Operating Centre in Malton, North Yorkshire, and with a fleet of 20 modern, high-quality, comfortable vehicles, at Coastliner we run an intensive, frequent service between Leeds, Tadcaster, York and Malton.

Buses run between these towns every 30 minutes most of the day on Mondays to Saturdays, reducing to approximately every hour during evenings and Sundays.

Beyond Malton buses continue eastward and northward to:

Scarborough, approximately hourly
Pickering, approximately hourly
Whitby, approximately two hourly
Filey, four times a day, and
Bridlington, four times a day

Our routes also serve Eden Camp the North York Moors,
Goathland (the home of 'Heartbeat'), and in summer certain journeys serve Castle Howard and Flamingo Land.

Coastliner is run locally from our Operating Centre in Malton, but has the support of being part of Transdev Blazefield.

Transdev Blazefield owns a number of companies in Yorkshire and Lancashire, and is itself owned by Transdev UK plc.

Transdev Blazefield is only active in the bus and coach industry, and believes that it is important for all its businesses to have a locally recognised, distinctive identity, as well as being locally run and managed.

Six new high quality Twin-Deck vehicles joined our fleet in Spring 2006, painted in the striking eye-catching colours first seen in 2004.

In Spring 2005 six new high quality Single-Deck vehicles joined our fleet, and are mainly used on the services to/from Whitby.

In Spring 2004 four Twin-Deck vehicles were introduced, these being the first painted in the striking eye-catching new colours as shown at the top of this page.

Our continued investment ensures that our fleet is very young, and modern, one of the youngest bus fleets anywhere in the country, with an average vehicle age of less than 2 years.
